CONGRATULATIONS TO R.J. Wren as he qualifies for his first
USGA Amateur Championship.

Yesterday, July 25th, R.J. Wren qualified for the USGA Amateur in a Regional Qualifier at Applebrook Golf Club. He shot 137 over the 36 hole qualifier to finish at 3 under par and capture one of the 2 spots available in a field of 74 players from many areas of the Mid Atlantic and New York.

R.J. will travel to Ridgewood Country Club in Paramas N.J. for the Championship held August 15 - 21, 2022.
The "Amateur" consists of 2 days (36 holes) of Stroke Play competing for 64 Spots of Match Play. The Match Play portion will determine the US.Amateur Champion.

For those unfamiliar, the USGA Amateur is the Oldest Championship in the Country and was part of the "Majors" when Bobby Jones completed the Grand Slam at Merion Golf Club in 1930.

R.J. got his golfing start at Honeybrook as he and his family have been Members here for many years. We are all Proud !!!
