#1 Par 4 Blue 367 yds - White 361 yds - Yellow 334 yds - Red 323 yds
Slice it off the tee and you flirt with the pond on the right. Straight up the middle and you're on your way to a good round.
#2 Par 4 Blue 367 yds - White 359 yds - Yellow 337 yds - Red: 330 yds
Keep left off the tee to avoid the ponds on your right and you'll take the bunker guarding the front of the green out of play.
#4 Par 5 Blue 552 yds - White 546 yds - Yellow 444 yds - Red: 437 yds
Big hitters will fly the traps and cut the corner off this dogleg right. Safe shot is center of the fairway.
Most second shots collect shy of this bunker for a wedge to the green.
#5 Par 4 Blue 417 yds - White 413 yds - Yellow 339 yds - Red: 333 yds
The No. 1 handicap hole. What you can't see from the tee on top of the hill is the pond. You need a great drive to set up for an easy approach. Right or left and you have a downhill from the rough. Pull up short and the green gets small. Lots of balls in that pond.
Here's the green befor the first player of the day has arrived.
#7 Par 4 Blue 336 yds - White 329 yds - Yellow 271 yds - Red: 265 yds
This is a short but challenging hole. the fairway is only 225 long, but hit through it and you're likely to lose your ball or have a very tough shot to the green. Go through the green and pay the price with the environmental hazard all around.
#8 Par 3 Blue: 212 yds - White 187 yds - Yellow 145 yds - Red: 142 yds
The eighth hole is a tough par 3, and the unpredictable Honeybrook complicates the issue. At 212 yds from the blue tees - its a long carry with wetlands in front and all along the right side. But the green is deep so there is room to get it on. 30 foot birdie attempts are not unusual.
#9 Par 4 Blue 403 yds - White 366 yds - Yellow 283 yds - Red: 277 yds
Elevated tees for the blues and whites help, but its still a long uphill run to the ninth hole.
A good drive pays off with short iron to the green but drift to the right and thick rough will snag your ball. Note the yellow "Play It Forward" tees set up for our youth programs.
#10 Par 3 Blue 227 yds - White 192 yds - Yellow 151 yds - Red: 146 yds
A long par 3 made more difficult when the prevailing west wind blows. But the green is forgiving and if you can chip the ball you'll make your par.
#11 Par 4 Blue 423 yds - White 410 yds - Yellow 329 yds - Red: 325 yds
This long par 4 is deceiving. Well placed balls run through the fairway toward the green to make a birdie opportunity. But errant shots to the swamp or the bunkers turn into a bogey in no time.
#12 Par 5 Blue 561 yds - White 551 yds - Yellow 460 yds - Red: 454 yds
The longest and most beautiful hole at Honeybrook. If the wind is fair you can reach the downhill green easily. Stay clear of the cornfield and environmental hazard on the left. The green is not flat in any way, so placement is of utmost importance.
#13 Par 3 Blue: 168 yds - White 158 yds - Yellow 128 yds - Red: 125 yds
It's an easy par 3 if you don't get freaked out by the Brandywine Creek running along the left side. Careful - prevailing wind can knock one or two club lenghths off your tee shot.
#14 Par 4 Blue: 314 yds - White 276 yds - Yellow 260 yds - Red: 211 yds
A short par 4 that takes you to Amish Corner, where your lead can vanish in a flash. It's a narrow target with towering trees on your left, environmental hazard across the middle and the Brandywine Creek that flows in front of the blue tee and along the right side all the way to the green. Go for it if you can, but the safe shot is a fade that lands in front of the trap.
#15 Par 5 Blue: 545 yds - White 532 yds - Yellow 449 yds - Red: 446 yds
The 15th hole is the last par 5 and a beautiful place to be. Start off with a straight run through a cathedral of tall oaks, then, power your second shot out into the sunshine over the fairway bunker - or keep right to avoid it. When you reach the green you're at the farthest point of the course with grazing white Amish work horses on one side and a grand view of the clubhouse on the other.
#16 Par 4 Blue: 280 yds - White 268 yds - Yellow 258 yds - Red: 242 yds
Its a short birdie hole if you're good with your wedge or deadly accurate with your driver. The green is relatively small and hard, and protected by a front bunker and hazard on the right. If you don't drop your ball on the surface just right you won't get an easy putt.
#17 Par 3 Blue: 185 yds - White 156 yds - Yellow 128 yds - Red: 280 yds
The shortest and easiest hole at Honeybrook. A couple of bunkers surround the green which slopes to the right. Its built on a former archeological site that shows evidence of human activity going back 2,000 years, when the Brandywine valley was a prolific hunting and fishing ground.
#18 Par 4 Blue 402 yds - White 355 yds - Yellow 283 yds - Red 280 yds
You're not home yet but you can see it from here. Take your drive straight up the fairway an avoid the tall fescue on either side. Catching the power alley on the left side gets you closer to the green, which is long and relatively easy to attack. Bunkers on either side need to be avoided. Time to doff your hat, shake hands and enjoy a visit to the Greenside Grill.
