Over 270 Juniors from all over the world gathered in Scottsdale, AZ for the 2012 US Kids Golf Desert Shootout. International participants came from locations as far as Greece, Iceland, Scotland and Mexico. The 2 day tournament was held under sunny skies and 70 degree temps on the 3 courses of the Wigwam Resort.

Boys 13 Year Old Division

Charlie Magruder of Las Vegas posted an impressive come-from-behind victory in the Boys 13 age group, finishing 2-under-par over his last eight holes to claim a three-shot victory. Magruder posted a final round of 3-over-par 75 to finish at 7-over-par 151 (76-75) for the tournament. First-round leader, and world’s 9^th ranked 13 year old, Easton Paxton of Riverton, Wyo., finished in second place at 10-over-par 154. Andrew Walker of Battle Creek, Mich., finished in third place with a tournament total of 156 (77-79). R.J. Wren of Morgantown, PA, birdied the difficult 18^th on the final day to edge out Luke Long of Fayetteville ARK for fourth place. Wren finished with 157 (78-79).
