![]() It was a beautiful weekend for the annual Honeybrook Ryder Cup Tournament and 48 players made the best of it. The event is organized by John Kennedy and Craig Howe, who picked the teams, provided the entertainment and cooked lunch for the players. The Euros, dressed in blue, marched onto the scene Saturday morning with bagpipes and eyepatches - arrgh! The Americans, in the red outfits, responded with the National Anthem and cheerleaders at the first tee. Then the match-play competition began and players from both sides gave the best they could. The Euros needed one-half point more than the US to reclaim the cup from last year's winners - and I'd like to tell you the outcome - but the captains told us over and over that it isn't important who wins. What is important is that everyone displays good sportsmanship and has a good time. And everyone did! Check out the photos below to figure out who holds the trophy until next year. |
